ABOUT THE ROLE:
Primarily responsible for the oversight, coordination and planning of daily production activities to ensure uninterrupted supply, and delivery of product to our customers.
Enhances efficiencies in operations, while maintaining a strong safety culture.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Consistently identifies new operations and develops strategies for accomplishing the attainment of improved efficiency and productivity.
Addresses the needs of the customer, while at the same time, promoting and protecting the long-term interests of the Company.
Initiates and implements production and scheduling-related programs, strategies, and techniques that result in increased productivity, and maintain safe operations of the assigned Plant, while containing the budgeted expenses of the assigned plants.
Manages the performance of the team, works independently, meets deadlines, and manages the assigned Plant with fiscal integrity.
Develops responsibilities; must be able to objectively evaluate the performance of the team; and must be able to hold others accountable in a constructive manner.
Participates in Company safety inspections, as well as MSHA inspections.
Communicates with site crew, which includes plant operator, loader operators and laborers.
Depending upon labor situation and plant size, may need to load and/or be part of the operating crew.
Supervises the team to maintain production and efficiency.
Schedules production, and executes preventative maintenance routines.
Maintains sufficient inventory levels at the site to service customer's needs.
Coordinates safety issues and investigates incidents with the safety department.
Ensures environmental compliance, rehabilitation, and meeting permit obligations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years experience preferred.
Required Work
Experience:
Five (5) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Strong oral and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and Powerpoint Additional Requirements:
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators.
Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
